Cause I'm confused...........I mean the sun is down, the moon is out....it's dark.........but alas, I have sick children who do not comprehend that slight fact.
Really in all actuality, it is not their fault. It really is hard to try and sleep with a clogged nose that keeps switching sides every time you roll over. It can drive one crazy having that nagging tickle in your throat every time you attempt to breathe in, which results in that dry hack.
Amazingly enough, no one has a fever. No one is barfing (except for Mariah, but I know that wasn't anything related to a stomach thing. When you haven't grasped the concept of blowing one's nose, eventually it's gotta go somewhere........)
At any rate, my children as sick as they are, are reaping the benefits of having a Mama who has barely a voice. They relish in the fact that I can't stand at the top of the stairs and holler down at them when they are acting like un-trained wild animals. They squeal with delight, in asking me the same question over and over again "What? I can't HEAR you" hahahaha.
They are on the tail end of this cold and are feeling much better. I can tell this because they no longer look at each other with empathetic eyes.
Today was one of 'those' days. The good news is, it's already tomorrow. Which means it's today, a new day! Yesterday, is the past.
I just gave everyone their midnight dose of Triaminic and Dimetapp for Mariah, I should be able to squeeze in about 5 hrs of sleep..........now, un-interrupted is the big question!
Well, I will take my rambling head to bed now, even if it is for a cat-nap!
Oh, I updated the food blog. Not with a grocery list though, but that's another story.
Have a blessed Thursday!!!

Some fun things borrowed from Kerri's blog!!
| Your Blogging Type Is Thoughtful and Considerate |
![]() You're a well liked, though underrated, blogger. You have a heart of gold, and are likely to blog for a cause. You're a peaceful blogger - no drama for you! A good listener and friend, you tend to leave thoughtful comments for others. |
| Your Blog Should Be Blue |
![]() Your blog is a peaceful, calming force in the blogosphere. You tend to avoid conflict - you're more likely to share than rant. From your social causes to cute pet photos, your life is a (mostly) open book. |
| Your Hidden Talent |
![]() You're super sensitive and easily able to understand situations. You tend to solve complex problems in a flash, without needing a lot of facts. Decision making is easy for you. You have killer intuition. The right path is always clear, and you're a bit of a visionary. |
| Your Birthdate: September 12 |
![]() Being born on the 12th day of the month (3 energy) is likely to add a good bit of vitality to your life. The energy of 3 allows you bounce back rapidly from setbacks, physical or mental. There is a restlessness in your nature, but you seem to be able to portray an easygoing, sometimes "couldn't care less" attitude. You have a natural ability to express yourself in public, and you always make a very good impression. Good with words, you excel in writing, speaking, and possibly singing. You are energetic and always a good conversationalist. You have a keen imagination, but you tend to scatter your energies and become involved with too may superficial matters. Your mind is practical and rational despite this tendency to jump about. You are affectionate and loving - but very sensitive. You are subject to rapid ups and downs. |
| You are a Believer |
![]() You believe in God and your chosen religion. Whether you're Christian, Muslim, Jewish, or Hindu.. Your convictions are strong and unwavering. You think your religion is the one true way, for everyone. |

Remember me?!?!?!!?!?
Goodness, did y'all think I fell off the face of the planet? I sure *feel* like I did!!!LOL
I don't think I have ever been so busy in my life.........this coming from a Mama with five kids....LOL!!But in all honesty, it has been crazy! Homeschooling is going wonderfully, we've had some challanges, but I fully expected those. Namely they've centered around Alex and the fact that he HAS to do the work whether he WANTS to or not. I really regret ever sending him to school last year........I guess God wanted me to appreciate homeschooling a bit more than I did!!
Alyssa and Robbie are doing really well, and are enjoying themselves immensly!!Even Kayla is having fun doing her *school work*!!
Unfortunately, Bill came down with a really bad virus (a bit worse than a cold) and was sick for the majority of the past weekend and this week. Add on that the little girls I look after have a cold and now over the course of a few days, Kayla, Mariah, Alyssa and just tonight Robbie and Alex are all showing signs of some sort of bug. Kayla's little nose and chest sound clogged and the rest have that lovely runny nose and a sore throat....yay........what better way to spend the weekend?!?!?LOL
five sick kids and a sick husband!!WHOOHOO!!!..........NOT!!!
But alas, it is that time of year!!!
The sale was fun, I really enjoyed the time with my sister. I did get some pants for Alyssa and I found her a pair of PJ's, I found quite a few prs of sleepers/jammies for Mariah and a couple outfits for her as well. I wish I could've found more outfits for her, but all the sizes seemed to be newborn-12mo and then a jump to size 2!! She's right smack in a size 12mo-18mo, although a couple of the sleepers I got her are a 12mo!!LOL Thank goodness for Wal-Mart and their cute jogging suits for $6.97-$9.97!!!! I also found Mariah 2 snowsuits, one for in the stroller (it's a nice suede-like material and has the button on booties, not good for playing in the snow!!LOL) and then an actual snowsuit for snow-play. I also found a pair of boots for Alyssa, so now I only need to buy some for Robbie and Alex and Mariah. Everyone is covered in the hats/mitts/scarves department....whew! Now watch it won't snow until Januaury!!!ROFL!!!
Well, I'm needed in Kayla's room....perhaps maybe I'll get some sleep at some point in time!! PFFFFT!!! Thank goodness the kids have tomorrow off of school.......maybe I can get some laundry done......maybe!!!!!!

Hello!!!
Yup, had to change things around here a bit!! It's my favorite time of the year!! From September 1st until January 1st, Im in love!! I cannot be more happier...did I mention I love this time of year?!?!LOL
First and Foremost:
PLEASE, PLEASE PRAY for all of Katrina's victims. What a tragedy and I cannot express into words how saddened I am. PLease pray that all of the relief efforts made by Red Cross and FEMA and other groups will reach everybody in time.
This week has been pretty much normal around here, busy as usual. I ended up with today and tomorrow off, as well as I have the Monday off for Labor Day. So that is nice. I've been busy getting the 'school room' (read:our formal dining room off the living room) organized to make room for all our curriculum that will be arriving on the 9th!!! I'm so excited, I just love homeschooling!!! It is so much more relaxed around here. I will be going out this weekend to pick up some school supplies, it's nice because everybody can share!!!
I will be updating the children's blog with all their school data, and their progress. I think this might put Nana and Papa's minds at ease. This way they too can keep up with what their grandchildren are doing, you know because I'm not a professional teacher and all!!!ROFLMBO!!!!
My sister is feeling a bit better, she's coming up to just about 10wks. Her morning sickness is still there, but she's learning to cope!! She is hopefully going to come for a visit next week. HURRAY!!!
On the 17th it's time again for the used toy and clothing sale!!! I will be going it this season....gotta clear out some of Robbie's clothes and Alyssa desperately needs some pants!!!LOL I love the UTACS, I haven't missed one yet!!!
Well, my children are playing outside right now. What are they doing, you might wonder? They are digging a huge hole in the ground and are making Midnight Pie. Do I know what Midnight Pie is? Nope. Do I know why they're digging a hole? Nope. Are they happy and not fighting? YES!!!
I do believe it will be bathtime.......again.
OH!!!OH!!! Big NEWS!!! Mariah got another tooth on her bottom left and she has been walking around the living room!!! Her talking ability has really sprouted too!!
She can now say:
Hi, Bye, Mommy, Daddy, suckie, baba, alex, alyssa, robbie, kayla, kitty, more, done, sit down, NO!, and the most recent 'wonderful' word taught to her by robbie: Shut-Up.
Nice huh? They thought it was hilarious teaching her words and having her repeat them. Robbie started saying "Shut-up" (not to her, just to see if she would say it back)So now my super cute, 15mo toddles around saying"shaw-up".
Proud Mama am I!!
God Bless!!
