It's Friday!!!

Just a quick update!!
Went to my appt this morning, everything looks good. I've gained 12lbs!!LOL
So at 10w2d I'm 112lbs. Blood pressure was good. Had the lovely Pap done which has made me spot again...blech. I didn't get to hear the heartbeat, although she tried, which I am pretty bummed about, but it's still early. At least my cervix is tightly closed and everything feels good according to her, she said that the blood is coming from the cervix and that I should relax as best as I can. I am going to book my ultrasound for as soon as they can get me in. So while I feel somewhat calm, I'm still a little freaked out, I just can't get over how different this pregnancy is in comparison to my others, but I guess there always has to be one of those in the group!! Your prayers are still very much appreciated!!

I will post an update as soon as I know when my ultrasound is scheduled for!!
Have a blessed Friday!!

Howdy!!

Check out my super cute graphic that MISTY bought me, it's on the top right hand side of my blog!!! Isn't it adorable?!?!? I love it, thank you very much Misty!!! Love ya girl!!!

Well, after an interesting early Sunday morning, I now know that there is only ONE little bean growing in my belly!! I know, hard to believe, isn't it?!?!

I ended up having some spotting very early Sunday morning (around 1:30am) and I panicked!! As some of you know (and I know many of you do not) I actually had a miscarriage Feb.15th, another one. I also had one back in early August. I was terrified history was repeating itself and told Bill we needed to get to the ER ASAP.
Praise the Lord it wasn't bright red and I had no cramps, but I was terrified, nonetheless. After we arrived and the nurse got over her shock that this was my sixth baby (or as was written down, my eigth pregnancy) I finally got into a room and sat and waited for almost 3 hours. Thankfully, because I wasn't spotting heavily, I was alright with the wait. However, it was a VERY long three hours!!

Finally just after 6am, the doctor came in. By that point that spotting had basically stopped so he opted not to check my cervix and just do an ultrasound with their little portable ultrasoud machine. I was absolutely terrified of what might not be there, but lo and behold there was a perfectly formed little one jumping around like crazy!!! Baby was all over the place, the little turkey kept moving everytime the doc tried to get a good look at the heartbeat!! Finally baby was still enough and there was a perfect little heart beating away!! YEAH!!! That was the best thing I could've ever seen, I cried and cried with joy and relief.
Soooo, there is just one little one in there, praise the Lord it is an alive baby that measures consistently (as best as he could tell, he's not trained in radiology, just knows to look for a viable pregnancy)with what my dates are. He said it looked as though what he would expect for a 10wk fetus, which makes me happy because I was 9w4d at that point!!

Although, we have no idea what in the world is causing the spotting, but his theory is that because I conceived right after a miscarriage my cervix might just be overly sensitive and is reacting to any 'force' I may exert whether it be a sneeze or a cough. I have my official first appt with my family doctor on Friday, and I'm sure she'll want to send me for a complete ultrasound ASAP and she'll be able to check my cervix and maybe be able to pinpoint if in fact that IS where the bleeding is orginating from. Although anything can change, I'm in a much less risk catagory for another miscarriage now that we have seen a good size-for-dates baby and a heartbeat. It's just frustrating not knowing why the heck I keep spotting!!
If you feel led to pray, please pray for this little blessing. I'm already SOOO in love with this little bean and I can't imagine losing another one or having to explain to the children that there won't be a baby brother or sister here with us for Christmas....I just can't.

Thank you so much and have a blessed Wednesday!!!

As promised.......a new belly pic!!!

9wk2d
Yes, you read that correctly, nine weeks pregnant. baby is about the size of a strawberry and weighs about 4grams and I look like this!!!

So, we could maybe factor in a few things (humour me)
1. this is my sixth pregnancy
2. it is the evening (aren't our pregnant tummies ALWAYS bigger at night??)
3. this is most likely just the normal first trimester bloating
4. uh, I had a big glass of water before hand........

alright, that's about all I can come up with and yes I am purposely avoiding another possible cause....LOL!!!

Here's the 9wk belly pic{side view}

I also added some other pics in the flickr!!

Have a great weekend!!

Happy friday!!!!

You know it's interesting....the kids have been off 'school' this week for spring break and they have been a wreck!! They have been more whiney and foul and the only thing I can really think of is the lost routine!! Sooooo, we have about 6wks left of school until summer holidays, but I'm thinking I'm going to keep some sort of 'school' routine going for them during those L-O-N-G two months off. Maybe, turn our summer into an un-schooling time, filled with science and cooking and outdoor adventures, so this is what I'll be up to over the next few weeks!!!Designing an un-schooling program for the summer (which I would LOVE to do all year round, but that isn't going to happen at this point in time!!)Today we all made yarn dolls, I will post some pics in my Flickr of them. The kids really enjoyed this and they decided to have a jammie morning, so that is why they are all still in PJ's!!LOL

I'm getting better (thanks for asking Scooby!!, glad you made it by!!) now I only get hit with a nasty bout of morning sickness when I get tired, so as long as I try to go to bed at a decent time, I do pretty good!! Oh, that reminds me, I should be taking a belly pic here!!LOL I am aiming at doing that every four weeks or so, I've never done that before with my other pregnancies because we didn't have a digital camera!! Exactly one week until my first drs appt!!! I am excited, can you tell?!?!?LOL

No final word yet in regards to Bill and some sort of decision, I am trying VERY hard not to start freaking out, but he's been not working since the 3rd, which means NO money coming in and it's coming to that time of the month where companies would like to have the bills paid and the house payment needs to be made!!! I just keep telling myself to trust the Lord and kep on praying, it always works out one way or another!!(still scary though!!!!)

Hmmmm, what else........oh!! I managed to score a big box of craft goodies off of FreeCycle!!! Hurray!!! Won't be picking up until Monday though, I was wondering how I was going to replenish our craft box, and theres my answer!!!

Oh and I also wanted to welcome some of my new readers, thank you so much for the emails!! I am so happy you find my blog a blessing!!
Have a blessed weekend and hopefully you all have nice warm spring weather where you are!!(it's supposed to rain tomorrow here!!)

Easter Blessings!!

You know these past days have just flown by!! It's been a mix of warmer weather and rainy days, but the kids have been outdoors enjoying it all.

We are finally on spring break, a whole week off of homeschooling!!

I on the other hand haven't been up to much lately, trying desperately hard to get some sort of spring cleaning done. At least I'm just about through all the kids closets and have emptied out 'most' of the winter clothes (one never does that entirely where I live!!LOL) and gone through and put away the spring and summer clothes. I just have Alex's and Robbie's rooms to finish up with.

Bill is still off work.....ugh....what a production this whole process has been. WCB is saying his employer should be paying him for this time and his employer is saying that WCB should be paying, no one seems to have a clue as to what is going on!!
Everyone is STILL awaiting the report from the specialist he saw on the 4th, who apparently, is taking their sweet time in sending it off. Both sides agree that this report will resolve the who should be doing what dilemma!

I went to the used toy and clothing sale last Saturday, I did really well. I got each child a couple of outfits for the summer and um.....about a dozen super cute newborn baby BOY sleepers and stuff!!!LOL I think the lady I was buying them from thought I was a nut job!!LOL They were just too cute to pass up!! I had this instant voice in my head saying buy them, you know you'll need them!! I've been finding peoples reaction to this pregnancy slightly different than from previous pregnancies. Most people seem to shocked to come up with anything stupid to say, and the rest can only respond with "WOW", large families are not common here, or at least in my community. I've run into a few adults who COME from a larger family, but I've yet to SEE any large families, mostly three is the tops.
I had one lady ask, "You must have hired help!" I honestly had to hold back a real laugh, "No, just me and my hubby" was all I could muster!!LOL
Most just seem to fall into the category of placing me on a pedestal and thinking I'm some sort of super woman because THEY could NEVER manage that. While I agree it does take a special person to parent a larger family, it's not beyond everyone's reach!! I am by far a super woman (really, really far off!!LOL) I yell and have hissy fits, my husband can vouch for that!!! Some days I wonder how on earth I have any hair left because I'm sure I've pulled it all out!!

Nope, no perfection here!!LOL All I can do is try my best, like each and every other mother out there!!

Tomorrow is grocery shopping, I'm going to Superstore....yeah. Can feel my enthusiasm? This store is crazy, but it fits my budget this time around. Saturday we will be egg decorating, and then an egg hunt on Sunday, followed by a ham dinner for supper...yum!!

I think this baby is an oinker, I swear, I am STARVING every two hours, and not just need some munchies hungry, oh no I am flat out starved!!LOL
I really don't want to see how much weight I've gained when I see the doc on the 28th, it's got to be at least 10-13lbs, even with all the morning sickness!!
Not, that I ever REALLY worry about my weight while pregnant, I eat when I want and what I want, no hard rules for me and I've never gained over 42lbs before.
This is the first pregnancy ever though, that I have been really thinking about twins. Alyssa is positive it's twins and I've been having twin dreams, my belly is huge (one woman thought I was 6mo pg!!!....YIKES!!!) but, I don't know....I guess we'll find out soon enough!!

Well, all this talk about food has my tummy rumbling!!LOL Time to go find a snack, which should be interesting since I REALLY need groceries!!!LOL

Have a Blessed weekend and a very blessed Easter everyone!!!

Um, what do the Blue Wiggles guy and Captain Feathersword and Khaki Pants have in common?

Yeah, I'm trying to figure that one out too!

Had this dream last night that I was trying desperately to find something to wear (which is happening in real life) and out of no where appear the Blue Wiggles Guy (what is his name anyways??) and Captain Feathersword with armfuls of Khaki pants and these stretchy tops!!!LOL

Don't ask!!!

Have a blessed Wednesday!!

What's the best part of being pregnant and having a new pill that stops....

morning sickness???

Cheeseburgers for breakfast!!!! YUM!!!

If I could personally meet the person who created Diclectin
I would give them a HUGE kiss!! I feel so much better!!!

Well, time to start school and devour my cheeseburger!! Bill is off on WCB again because of his back...ugh...but he went to see a specialist this morning(hence, why I'm on the computer in the morning!!), so hopefully we'll get somewhere!!

Have a blessed Monday!!
