We have been so incredibly busy this summer, it is so nice to have a vehicle that we all fit in!
We've been to the Zoo twice and since we had free passes and made our lunch, it was a free activity both times!
We have a trip planned to visit a historical village in the next couple of weeks as well as a Dinosaur museum and the Science museum.
This weekend we are going to a large farmers market and then out into the country for a picnic....I have to admit that is my most favourite thing to do. The Zoo and museums and other places are fun as well, but there is just something so peaceful being out in the open with grass and trees and just letting the kids run....LOVE IT!
We are finally getting our fence done and then next is the grass. Bummer though, no garden this year. At least I'll have plenty of time now to figure out and plan what I want to grow and where. I've figured out where the compost will be and where my rain barrel should go.
Breanna is growing like crazy and eats a broad range of foods. Her favourite thus far is hardboiled egg yolk with a bit of banana and chicken with carrots. She does not like goat yoghurt so I add small scoops in with other foods so she gets the nutrition from it. She rolls all over the place now and is working on her two bottom front teeth. I have no idea how much she weighs, since I haven't had her weighed since we left the hospital. I figure somewhere between 14 and 16lbs though. I put a halt on some of her pediatrician visits as everytime we went they wanted to send her for an ultrasound or an xray for hips because they kept coming back inclusive. So far she has had at least 6-7 Xrays on her abdominal region (most from her NICU stay) and she has had 3 ultrasounds.....unless there is a clear sign of hip problems, I'm done with that.
All the other kids are doing great! Growing like crazy!! I'm thinking that I will have to figure out a way to go into the Used Toy and Clothing sale this fall.....there is nothing like that out here and consignment is a joke as is the second hand stores. It will be an early morning that day, but so very worth it if the sales are good!! Let's hope and pray that there are good tables filled with clothes in the sizes I need!!! :o) Breanna is still in 3-6mos sizes, so she is definitely getting good wear out of clothes!!lol
Well, it appears my time is up!! Have a great Wednesday!!
Blessings!!

*tap*tap*tap* Is this thing on????
Hey! Did ya'll miss me?!?! Nah, don't answer that.
That was, unofficially, my longest blogger hiatus EVER!
soooo much to update on and nowhere near enough time to do so...*sigh*
First and absolute foremost.....
The world has lost an angel here on earth. Bill's Mama passed away on May 25th, it was a bit of a shock, but we all knew she wasn't doing all that well with her numerous medical issues that had been continuing to creep up on her. I am so very heartbroken and miss her so very much.
She never got to meet little Breanna as she passed on 18 days prior to our arrival for holidays.
Bill was able to be there with his Dad and his Sister for few days, praise the Lord. Then by a huge blessing from a guy at Bill's work, we were all able to go for the weekend and attend her funeral. Then we went back again for our regular scheduled holidays....whew!!!
Now we've discovered that My Grandmother has stage four cancer. However, due to her Dementia, she is in complete denial that anything is wrong with her. Maybe that is not such a bad thing after all. They are in the process of setting up a Palliative care team and getting her transferred to a hospice. They were here for a visit a few days ago and we got some lovely pictures. She told me this is the last time. (Dementia is a weird one I tell ya!)
So despite the sadness, we are still doing well. I am so thankful for my family and all the love and support we give each other. I can't imagine walking this path alone and I pray for the ones who must. It certainly causes one to evaluate their beliefs and values pertaining to life.
Kayla has once again shown something special she posses, her ability to see angels. She has ALWAYS said she can see the angels flying around, even when she was just able to talk. The night Bill's mama passed away she came upstairs and was saying that she was having trouble falling asleep. I went down to tuck her in again and she started to smile. I asked her what she was smiling at and she said Nana is smiling at me so I smiled at her. Then she said "See her Mommy, she's right behind you" She told me she has beautiful wings and a very pretty dress on and is smiling all the time. She also told us that Nana no longer has her 'sticks' (Nana had to use crutches to aid her in walking). Fascinating, I tell you!
So now we must heal. Everyone is learning a new way to live, to live with the void of someone so special in our lives.
I'm going to try and get back into the swing of things and get back to posting more frequently again. Blogging is something I truly enjoy!
Blessings!!

~Happy Birthday Robbie~
*I will add pics soon*
I cannot believe Robbie is 9 years old!!! The last year of single digits!!
Robbie was born at 2:36pm(Matthew was 2:36AM) about an hour or so after they broke my water. He was my most jaundiced baby, but never had to undergo any light therapy. He was also my first summer baby! It was no hot that year!! His due date was always undecided and changed with almost every ultrasound...the last date they gave me was July 31st. He was born on July 19th and weighed 7lbs 7ozs(same weight as Alyssa). He took to breastfeeding immediately with no issues and was a fairly easy baby all around. As long as he had his food and sleep, that is!!!
Unfortunately due to some extremely unintelligent misinformation relayed between a dentist and a public health nurse, our breastfeeding relationship came to an end MUCH to early. (if only, I knew then what I know now.....hind sight is 20/20) Of course, I was still pretty much on board with 'health dictorates' and accepting their recommendation as a be all in information.
Robbie was an easy toddler in the sense of knowing what he wanted/needed. When he was tired, he fell asleep. Didn't matter where we were or what we were doing!!lol He ate very well and loved to try new things. He had absolutely no desire to potty train or give up his bottle, so he had both until about a month before Mariah was born. He didn't like to get his hands 'mucky' so rarely got into things that would result in that scenario. He did however, LOVE to draw and still does to this day.
He is our resident problem solver and can see a mess of objects and be able to put them together in a snap. He is a mastermind at puzzles and math problems and learnt adding and subtracting in a day. He loves to create things with his insane, copious amount of Lego and K'Nex. His drawings are incredible and beautiful. He is the first to never have stepped foot in a traditional school.
He is an avid Star Wars fan and that required a DarthVader birthday cake and party favors!!
He is extremely kind hearted and once told me "I am going to tell my wife that I love her and she is beautiful every single day" Yup, that is my guy!
He is special and unique and I admire his talents and only hope that he will continue to flourish and grow as he grows!!
Happy Birthday Big guy!!
